Villa de Vecchi - Como, Italy

Such a sad tale behind this house. Felix De Vecchi was a Count and soldier for Italy. He was having his dream home built for his family, this house. A year before it was completed he committed suicide because he came home and found his wife murdered, her face mutilated, and his young daughter missing. He searched the woods but never found her. He left the house to his brother and his family. They lived there a while then just left it abandoned. One has to wonder did his brother leave it to decay because it was haunted by the family? I can picture Felix still searching the house for his daughter.
